The Lottery Ticket

Ok let's start ahmm there's a guy name Ivan Dmitritch. He was a middle class man and he lived with his wife Masha. His life was great then he was checking the newspaper to look for the ticket, then he realized that the ticket in the newspaper is the same with their ticket. The series 9499 number 26, When he saw that he is starting to dream to spend more money. That ticket was from his wife and he become selfish. Then he look again in the newspaper at the fourth page the series is 9499 nubmer 446! not 26!

So the lesson here is that Lottery tickets makes your life miserable or it change your attitude.

Our Lady's Juggler

Our Lady's Juggler

Barnabas is a native Compiegne, he is a juggler and a religious man. He can juggle six copper balls using his feet and he can also juggle 12 knives. One day he saw a monk walking in the same direction so they fell into conversation. After that the monk invited Barnabas in the monastery. In the monastery which he entered there are also monks with different talents.

The Prior wrote books. Brother Maurice copied treaties with a cunning hand. Brother Alexandre he is a painter, he decorated with delicate miniatures representing the Queen of Heaven. And finally, Brother Marbode he makes sculptures.

Barnabas got conscious because he doesn't know what to contribute to the Virgin Mary. But he has 1 talent he can show and that is juggling.

Ok my lesson is don't be shy if that's the only talent you've got. All of us has their own talents.

Adios!! Cordera!

Adios! Cordera!

This is about a cow who is not treated like an animal but part of a family. Cordera is the name of the cow, Pinin and Rosa are the two children who always plays with Cordera and Anton de Chinta is the father and the owner of the cow. Every time Cordera see the railroad she got scared because that railroad is the way to the slaughter house. When Anton de Chinta have a problem he needs money for his family so the only choice is to sell Cordera. He knows it's hard to let go but he doesn't have any choice. When Cordera left the children, Pinin and Rosa got sad and say goodbye to their friend. Adios! Cordera!!

So that's it if you love an animal like a dog you should treat it like a part of your family. And sometimes you need to learn how to let go even if  it is very hard. hehehe

7th post

Don Quixote

This is about a man who thinks that he is a knight his name is Don Quixote but some say that his surname was Quixada, or Quesada. He is a hale and strong complexion, lean-bodied, and thins bodied, and thin-faced, an early riser, and a lover of hunting. He named his horse Rocinante meaning vulgar breed of horse. He also fell in love with a girl name Aldonza Lorenzo but he resolved to call her Dulcinea del Toboso. He made his own armor a thin plates of iron and he made a kind of half-beaver, or vizor.

He is a crazy guy thinking that he is a real knight but it look so stupid hehehe. So the lesson here is don't take your imagination seriously.

We have an activity we share our love poems and explain it in the class heheh :))
This is my poem.

A Moment In Time

If ever there's a moment,
Where I can call you mine,
I'd cherish it forever,
Even if it is just a speck of time.

If ever I told you the truth and you loved me too,
I'd thank the stars I've wished upon and everything that led to you.

I see you with everyone else and hope I might have a turn,
But in the end the pity of your love is all I'll ever learn.

Maybe one day you'll look at me the way I look at you,
And come to realize the beauty of my heart the you've been looking through.

So close, but yet too far for me,
I can't help but live off what could be.

And I wish that I could tell you the secrets of my heart,
But if I did I fear our friendship would fall apart.

So from a close distance I admire what will never come to be.
I'll take what I can get from you and live off of a vision of what could be.

And if ever there's a moment where I can call you mine.....
....I'd cherish it forever, even if it's just a speck in time....

I can only explain 1 stanza "And if ever there's a moment where I can call you mine.... I'd cherish it forever, even if it's just a speck in time...
If I will be with you just for small amount of time I will cherish it forever. hehe mukhang nde ko inexplain ah :)) hehe

Major Dramatists of the Athenian Age

Aeschylus

He was a poet by profession and he was regarded by the Athenians as the father of tragedy. He is reputed to have written seventy tragedies. The genius of Aeschylus was in the awful and sublime rather than in the tender and pathetic.

He is called the theological poet because his plays had great spiritual and religious fervor. His greatest work is considered to be Prometheus. The hero of this play is a Titan was chained and tortured on a rock in the Caucasus because he had, against the explicit orders of Zeus.

Aeschylus is called the soldier playwright because he took part in the Battle of Marathon and in the Battle of Salamis. He also wrote the trilogy Oresteia which is composed of three plays: Agamemnon, Cheophori and Eumenides.

Yeah Thooord post!

The Charcoal-Burner's Son

My father he's at the kiln away,
My mother sits at her spinning;
But wait, I'll too be a man some day,
And a sweetheart I'll be winning.
So dark it is far off in the forest.

At the dawn I am up and off with the sun
Hurrah! when the sun's a-shimmer.
To father then with his food with me,
And long mountain shadows are thrown there.
So dark it is far off in the forest.

Tralala! As glad as a bird in flight.
I'll sing as the path I follow.
But harsh the reply from the mountain high,
And the woods are heavy and hollow.
So dark it is far off in the forest.

The shadows come down so thick so thick.
s if curtains were drawn together,
There's rustle and rattle of stone and stick,
And trolls are walking the heather,
So dark it is far off in the forest.

There's one! There are two! In their net they'll take
Me, alas!---how the fires are waving!
They beckon, O God, do not Thou me forsake!
By flight my life I'd be saving.
So dark it is far off in the forest.

The hours went by, the daylight was gone,
The way it grew ever more wild now,
There's whisp'ring and rustling o'er stick and o'er stone
As over the heath runs the child now.
So dark it is far off in the forest.

With rosy-red cheeks and heart beating fast,
To his father's kiln swiftly fleeing,
He fell."My dear son, oh, welcome at last!"
"'Tis trolls, aye, and worse I've been seeing.
So dark it is far off in the forest.

"My son, it is long here I've had to dwell,
But God has preserved me from evil.
Whoever knows his Our Father well
Fears neither for troll nor for devil,
Though dark it is far off in the forest.

This is about a kid who is scared of the dark and thinking that there are trolls anywhere the forest but his father explain to him that it is long here I've had to dwell that God preserved him from evil.

The Necklace :))

This story is about a woman whose life became miserable because of the necklace she borrowed. Her previous life was just simple but it all started when her husband got home holding a large envelope containing an invitation to a ball. But when Mathilde open it she threw it on the table. Her husband ask if what is the problem? "I don't have any dress" She answered, Then her husband give four hundred francs to her so she can buy a dress. Then she got another problem she doesn't have any jewelry so she borrowed a necklace from her friend, Mme. Forestier. When they entered the ball all of the men look at her. After that when Mathile got home she realized that the necklace was gone and she got nervous, her husband was shock that she lost the necklace.

Mathilde lie to Forestier that her necklace was broken and they try to fix it but Mathilde plans to buy another necklace same as the necklace she lost. They search in a shop at the Palais Royal, a string diamonds which is
exactly the same the one she lost. It was worth forty thousand francs but they begged the jeweler not to sell it for three days. And her husband made a bargain to buy it for thirty-four thousand francs. Mathilde and her husband really need to work hard to buy that necklace.

Then they earn the money they buy the necklace right away. When Mathilde found Mme. Forestier she return the necklace to her then Forestier was shock that Mathilde looks old. Mathilde explain what happen she told Forestier the truth about the necklace then Forestier was surprise that the necklace Mathilde bought was thirty-four thousand francs but the real price of the necklace of Forestier was five hundred francs.

So that's it the lesson here is you should not lie because when you lie sometimes it can destroy your life like what happen to Mathilde she got old because of the necklace.

TROY!!

Troy!!

This is our movie review heheh yeah!! The movie was great it contains lots of actions.
Ok let's start, Paris the prince of Troy and the brother of Hector has fell in love with the Queen of Sparta. Helen the wife of Menelaus the King of Sparta. Paris steal Helen from Menelaus and sailed away. Then Menelaus got mad and ask for help from his brother Agamemnon King of Mycenae to attack Troy.

So the war started Agamemnon summon his mighty warrior named Achilles. When Menelaus and Agamemnon got there, Menelaus challenge the brother of Hector to fight him in single combat. Paris was weak so he forfeit but Menelaus wants to kill Paris but Hector protected him.

After that the cousin of Achilles, Patroclos wants to join the war but Achilles refuses. Patroclos use the armor of Achilles to disguise him like Achilles and lead Achilles men, the Myrmidons. Then Hector found Patroclos, he thought it was Achilles then they fought in single combat and Patroclos got killed. When Achilles found out that his cousin was killed by Hector. Achilles was so mad and he plans to challenge Hector in single combat. The wife of Hector, Andromache wants to stop Hector by fighting Achilles. But Hector has no choice but to face the mighty warrior. Then the battle begins Hector knows that he has no match with Achilles. Achilles shows no mercy because he is so angry. When Hector got killed, Achilles tied his feet to his chariot and go back to his base.

Priam the King of Troy and the father of Hector and Paris. He wants the body of his son when he found out that Achilles was alone. He came near Achilles and clasped his knees, and kissed the terrible murderous hands. Achilles was amazed and realized that he did a terrible thing, he gave the body of Hector to Priam and let Briseis free and promise no greek will attack Troy for 12 days.

After that when the Trojans search the place, they found a giant horse made of wood. Paris told his father to burn it but Priam keeps it. They didn't know that the greeks are hiding inside of the horse. At night the greeks open the gate and start the attack. Achilles search for Briseis to help her escape. When Achilles found Briseis, Paris shoots him at the heel with his bow. The heel of Achilles is the weak spot. Briseis leans closer. He is losing to much blood and his strength is fading, but he summons his remaining energy to speak " you gave me peace in a life time of war. I chose this night...but you will see the sun again. I want you to live". Achilles wipes the tears that are pouring from her eyes away.

So that's it ahmm after that Briseis and Paris escape hehehe this part is so sad. Achilles didn't have a chance to live with her but he spend a little romance with Briseis. Ok so that's it heheh Ms. Ly I hope you like it hehe :))
